Last night, went to watch a football match at the stadium. DPMM won the match to climb to the top of the Great Eastern Yeos table against SAF FC. It was also a perfect birthday gift for simunic who turned 55 last night. The atmosphere was really great with over 10,500 strong supporters came to the stadium chanting for DPMM. Just 7 minutes into the game, Ivan Jerkovic made the supporters stood on their feets by scoring a fantastic goal. Abdelhamed Berguiga had so many chances which he failed to capitalise.
After the break, Abdelhamed scored the second goal for DPMM in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, Pg Sallehudin was red carded in the 78th minute, sending goosebumps to the supporters. With a 10-man disadvantage, SAF FC took control of the game and was finally paid off in the 89th minute from a free kick just out side the penalty box. Minutes later, Shahrazen scored the third goal for DPMM but was then marked by the linesman for an offside which I don't think he was. Another tense moment when 4 minutes of injury time was given and just seconds of the four minutes given left, SAF FC was again rewarded another free kick similar but slightly further away from the penalty box. The freekick was punched by Wardon and the whistle was then blown by the referee, game over. The crowd sang 'ole ole' and a birthday song for Simunic.
