Recap : January to April

January: Started the new year with family bonding at Tesek Merimbun, it was fun. Looking forward for more family bonding next year. We should do that more often. It'll be great but not at Tasek Merimbun again. It is one of the most heritage parks in ASEAN with all its flaura and fauna and unidentified 2000 species of habitat but the facilities provided there; two thumbs down. Toilets are dirty like it never been cleaned ever since it was built.

Remember I set 'health' as one of my resolutions this year? Well, I guess that's already out of the picture. Haha..

February : S-league started where Brunei DPMM FC appered for the first time in one of the most Asia's competitive league. DPMM FC's maiden match was aginst Young Lions which ended 1 - 1. I also joined the marching for Brunei's 25th National Day under Yayasan and I got free track suit, cap and a t-shirt.  [SGuess what, tarus I mencari the track suit segala semua.. Hahaha.. I forgot I have those. Now I can use them for the gym. Yeppi]. This year's national day was held at the stadium under the sun which was really really hot. The stadium was not full and people went home early. They should have done it during the night like the 20th National Day and to date, the 20th National Day was the best ever in performance wise and the spectacular fireworks.

UBD open day was held for four days.

Went to RTB Carnival and support an ex-friend in DJ 60 Saat Coompetition.

March : Was a special month for me because it was my 20th birthday and it was held at Cheeze Box, surprised by Dai, Iq, Dum, Izza, Pytat and Fyl. Laps you guys. I didn't expect it to the max. No wonder si dai memajal bawa bejalan on that day. Also in this month, I be H.A.P.P.Y which stands for HIV Awarness Programme among Peers and Youth. It was really fun, Dai cried as usual, Py faked it and I had no feeling. 

Please don't call me 'tal' in 2010.

Next day after my birthday~

Aprril : I remebered tricking Dai by putting a warning note on her car because she parked at lecturers' car park and she thought the note was real. Hahaha.. Kana u sebiji. During this month, I watched a lot of DPMM FC's matches with Mizan and Dai.

When You're Young, Everything Feels Like The End Of The World

My Wednesday had been pretty busy, I had few hours of workout in the morning. It felt really good, especially when I have tons of activities lining up in the afternoon, it just gave me the energy to do them. Started my morning with a simple breakfast and fresh milk from the cow that we killed few nights ago in my amah's room.

Nevertheless, it has been really hot lately with the dry spell occurring in the country. The sun is striking hot from above and forests fire could be seen sometimes when I'm driving. On top of that, the strong wind make it worse which could make the fire to spread real fast. Anyway, let the fire fighters handle that and we must stop open burning to minimise the effect. Speaking of fire, mom was really busy this morning cooking some special menus to be brought later during the 919 family's gathering at my grandparents' house somewhere in Jangsak. To sum up, it was fun.. I had two ice creams after my meal. Fortunately, it didn't make my batuk worse. Laps..

Went home alone around 3 and 20 minutes after that, there was this buzz going on about the results. The internet was really busy with people asking 'Really?'.. Dukk.. Anyways, That night, I went to watch a movie, 17 again.. Earlier, I booked 8 tickets as Izza asked me to do instead of only six. I rushed to the cineplex to collect the tickets, only to find out that my booking had been cancelled. Damn~ When I was about to pay the all the eight tickets, I received a late text that Izza had her 'Angin' disease so she pulled herself out.. Thank god I read the message first because at that time, I was about to pay all the eight tickets when actually there were only seven who held onto their promises.. I was really not in good mood after that, I had a very busy day from morning, then again in the afternoon.. I really need to let it all out during the night but the complication about the tickets just turned me off. I didn't really focus during the first 15 minutes of the game because I was a bit dizzy.

After the movie, Iera, Salwa, Gkah and I planned to go to pasar malam while Rafie, Mizan and Suud went for a gaming session. Dukk.. They're all 20 btw and I just hope that they will not turn to be like this weird guy arah 17 again si Donell's punya best friend with all his weird childish stuff and his principle girlfriend of course. Hahaha.. Ok back to pasar malam, I found a perfect parking and salwa texted me she nda jadi tia but went home instead and that made Iera and I yang tinggal. Like this ni~ Like this~ There, I met Teayea and Adib. Teayea was having a great night I guess because it was her birthday and she told me she just came from watching Jangan Pandang Belakang Congkak and I asked her 'How was it?'.. With her mulut yang munjung, I didn't need her explanation... I paham.. hahaha.. That night end with a friendly goodbye between me and Iera..

At home, we had our supper while chatting too... and after all, came to think of it.. It was a really great and mellow night :) Im happy~

Welcome Home Ngah!!

Multi-million dollar projects to revamp UBD campus

Universiti Brunei Darussalam's (UBD) vision to make the institution a premier seat of learning at par with other world-class universities received a major boost yesterday with UBD sealing deals for projects worth $56 million to expand and upgrade its faculties.

There will also be a new sport complex.

An artist impression of the sports complex including a swimming pool and new futsal court.

The new faculty of science building.

The cost of the extension project for the Faculty of Science building is estimated to be around $23 million while the cost of the Students Affairs Section building is estimated to be around $2 million. Extension projects for the university library and Institute of Medicine is meanwhile estimated to cost about of $7 million and $24 million respectively.

The Institute of Medicine is expected to have Harvard-style lecture theatres, teaching labs, specialty simulation wards, health promotion rooms and other facilities. All the projects have been financed under Brunei's National Development Plan (RKN).

This morning my aunt arrived safely from UK after spending more than eight months there to pursue her degree. She was accompanied by her husband and their two children while the twins have been missing them for months in Brunei. Today, my two little cousins were reunited with their twin brothers, Izzat and Izzan. I wasn't at the airport to welcome their arrival because I was working. There were so many stories shared by my aunt and they were all very interesting and funny at the same time. I was laughing so hard that I could hardly breath, some even ended with a tear-y eyes.

One of the stories she shared was about the last minute cleaning the house they rented while staying there, the couple had to clean all the windows, floor etc.. they even made sure all the furniture and appliances included under the rent were all in good condition. Otherwise, they could be charged if not doing so. They didn't sleep the whole night cleaning it. More over, they should wake up as early as 3.00 AM for their early flight.

My aunt also mentioned that they had to give away half of their clothes to charity and some to their Filipino neighbour, whom my uncle best friend with when they first met at Heathrow Airport in London. They had no choice but to give them away since all their luggages were fully packed!! Amazing right~ Sampat lagi buat good deeds before balik. She also mentioned about how heavy their luggages were and they (the luggages) exceeded the limit amount required for each luggage. However, to their surprise, the luggage people didn't ask them to pay for the extra they brought in when they were supposed to pay around 400 pounds. My aunt apa lagi, besyukur lah ia berabis kehadrat Allah since they didn't have that much money with them at that time. Maybe atu kali balasan tuhan after they gave away their clothes to charity and neighbours. Bersedekah itu satu amalan~

Another story she told us was about her daughter who was crying minta balik kan kuyuk. Hahaha.. She said 'Bah, Ijah mau puppies.. tiny tiny puppies'. Deloo.. she didn't know that dogs are haram because she is still a little girl. Now tau ia udah kali. She was also craving for hotdogs but still nda kana balikan because non-halal. Deloo.. She only got to eat hotdogs or 'sausage' when her father went there in March. Atupun hotdog anu bemasak dari Brunei tarus because if yang in packet and alum masak, sampai sana buruk tia.

For her son, he was very active back in the UK. He played football, kite, had his own band at his school and even appeared on the front page of his school's website. Perhaps, he is good in everything. He is only in Year 3 and was playing football with Year 4 and 5 students. That shows that he can mingle with different cliques and very active too. Now, he has long hair because he didn't want to go to the saloon for chop-chop, plus it is expensive there. So, he will stay with his long hair and I love it!!

After working, I went straight to my aunt's house to have Tahlil and Doa Selamat because she didn't have the kesempatan to go tahlil with us during my grandmother's one year anniversary, that was why we decided to do it again but this time with my aunt arround. After that we makannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.... Yayyy.. Then talk2.

They even made a banner to welcome my aunt.

We then had some cakes and ice cream while chit-chatting before one-by-one my other aunts and uncles went to their respective home. The kids had chocolates my aunt bought from Dubai and I also took some even though I have a big packet of snickers in my room. Hehe.. It was a wonderful day and I'm really glad that I could make it to this fun gathering, the gathering I thought I would miss since I had to work in the morning. The end~

The One With Pytat's Birthday

This morning, I went to the airport to ucapkan farewell to my dad. He's leaving for Miami, Florida, US with three of his colleagues. First, he'll stay a night in Singapore before taking off to the states tomorrow. Mudahan selamat sampai and balik nanti. Dilindungi Allah sentiasa. Amin~

Yesterday, went to watch he's just not that into you with Salwa, Izza, Mubil, Rafie and the couple, Mizan Gkah. Salwa was very nice for offering me to you know... like get together for a day after so many months of not hanging out together with friends. It is good actually to tighten the bonds between all of us. Hayyy.. Hahaha.. It was not my type of movie I would wanna watch but Jeniffer Aniston was there... so mana mana. The young girls out there of course, they are so into this kind but for the guys... hmmm... However, the movie to me was just okay, so-so like that but I did enjoy watching with them. I thought it's going to be a romantic-comedy but actually it was all about relationships... some ended up happy ending and others the opposite. The actor/actress are all well known. Overall 6/10 rating. I bet the book version is highly rated than the movie.

After the movie, we went for a chill...

It was a fun day and we got to talk about random stuff at Ideal but too bad Mijan and Izza went home early.

Hmm.. weird.. but don't worry, I always find you weird all the time ever since I masa Form 1 walaupun alum saling berapa kenal mengenali.. Hayyy.. But what I remember, someone told me to call you 'tunggi'. Hahahaha.. Yes, you're weird.. remember masa kemarin2, you wanted to go to library and you bawa me along pasal kan ceritakan something hot but sudah tejumpa si ehwan, ikut ko jua ke FOS but alum sampai duduk di FOS, bebalik tia ko ke library. Apakan tu ertinya? Hahaha...

This was exactly a week ago, adakah patut wiper vios ku dinaikkannya.... sekali balasannya ni nah....

Bukan satu ku naikkan, tapi dua2 plus ku sangkutkan lagi daun tu. Kalau buleh ku cabut lagi daun banyak2 dari pokok atu and sangkut banyak2.

Moral of the story : Don't mess with me otherwise the messer becomes the masseese*spelling not sure I*

Another movie I've watched is a malaysian movie, Jangan Tegur. I was invited by Dai's friends and before I even said yes to them, they already booked the seat for me. How addorable~ Anyways, Dai and I went together in one car and met the rest at Jolibee. As usual I don't buy popcorn because I nda minat. There were ten of us, Zuree and Tiqah didn't know that it was gonna be a horror movie.. Hahaha.. Toink~ Pikir dorang jangan tegur ani macam movie biasa, like comedy apa segala. Fyi, time kami meliat mubi ani ialah... semasa hari Juma'at pukul 7 malam.

Overall, the movie was great and good job for the sound effects because ia made me startle almost everytime when the damn f&$#ing sound bebunyi. The movie was not really the scariest one I ever watched. By looking at the poster, the so called 'ghost' on the left side is actually obvious wearing contact lenses.

After the movie, we went for pictures taking at almost every floor. The funny part ialah si zuree tekajut beteriak keluar dari jamban pasal kana kajutkan. Hahahahaha... The whole seri Q-lap building kedangaran suaranya menjerit. Hayy.. Apatah lagi baru lapas cerita horror yang at first pikirnya cerita biasa. Deloo ia... sakit parut I ketawa. After sangal ketawa sampai tekrim parut and pipi, sadar jua kami ani rupanya memerlukan makanan untuk dimakan dan aing kan diminum. So ke farmbasket tah kami~

Di farmbasket ada si S dengan datenya. Order punya order, akhirnya makanan sorang2 pun sampai sudah satu persatu and every order yang sampai atu kami nyanyikan lagu birthday. Attention seeker lah supaya si S meliat2an. Hayyy.. haha.. apakan.. no lah, nada we beniat kan attract atention si S but saja kan memalukan si order receiver atu. I order garlic bread as always but the garlic bread... emm... malas kan cakap... nda nyamannnn... apa.. licakkkkkkkkkkkk!!!! biasanya garlic bread ani karas and crunchy ani siring2nya saja karas di tangah2 licakkkkkkkk macam sponge bob squarepants. So, my food nda lah abis... Biarrr.. siapa suruh membuat licakkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.... si zuree ordered chocolate something and it looks yummy..

The One With Make Up Class

7th March 2009, 10.00AM, UBD.

Aku ani baru keluar kereta kan, sekali nda nyaman bejalan pasal seluar jeans ku teirit2 bah. So I beranti di bawah pokok, and under the tree atu, ada empty kotak soya bean one litre (pic below) ampai2 d bawah atu yang d buang oleh orang yg ngak bertanggung jawab. Then I put all my stuff dakat the soya bean kotak kosong and lipat my jeans 2 x lipat. Lapas lipat melipat, ambil balik my stuff and jalan tah menuju ke class but I didn't realise yang aku tebawa kota soya bean atu.. atu yaaa.. haha.. dukkkk... sekali half way bejalan, barutah ku realise, ku buang tarus bebalik. Haha.. dukkk....

Nah after ku buang balik, nda lagi ia bawah pokok.
Landed siring longkang tia. Nda lagi ku tebuang di sampah.
Sekali ku nampak, selajur I buang without thinking 2/3 kali.

Actually the reason I went to UBD because I ada make up class, yess.. make up class, LC presentation and I was lucky I nda present that day since the projector didn't work, ngalih jua tu we buat2 the slides but then suddenly projector nda mau.. hmph.. anways, we had a class at the CLT and all rooms were locked until one of the securities came with the key and yayy.. finally.. ada class. It is the same class we use for MIB Muzakarah, so I guess who ever going to present MIB pembentangan this coming tuesday, you're in a bad luck.. you have to use the laptop to present instead of the projector. Owkay, back to the make up class.. there were only six of us in the room including Mz Aznah. She was like 'Only five are coming?' Haha but then minutes later... 'Happy Birthday to you~ Happy Birthday to you~ Happy Birthday to Mz Aznah~ Happy Birthday to you~' Ramai tia masuk, aku pun tekajut, I thot nda ramai wah we but I was wrong.. haha.. dukk.. the funny thing was Mz Aznah wasn't surprised, she was on the phone.. haha.. but she was terharu laa..

Yayy.. clap clap. Her birthday was actually on the 24th of February but...
wrong info, belated tia jadinya.

The class then went on with out the projector. There were three topics yang di bentangkan, 'Blogging' by Dee, 'Smoking' by Safwan and 'Something agriculturish topic' by Fizah. After that, we makannnnn.. yayy.. ada snacks, crackers, nasi, hot dog, ayam.. delicious.. and macam macam lagi. Haha.. After the class, went to the library.

Recently, went to a restaurant with my family. We finally gave up after almost an hour searching a fine restaurant in Q-lap yang semuannya was full and reserved. Hampa we.. but dad brought us ke batu satu and finally makannn... atupun had to sambung2 the meja.. it was almost full.

The day finally came, after a week long preparation. It was a green day. I love. and It was sunny/windy day, again I love.

That night, I went to International Convention Centre where another wedding was being held. Upon our arrival at 7.30PM, the rain started to fall.

The wedding was I dont know.. Long i guess. Cuz you know why? We only started eating at almost 10.00 PM. Waiting for almost 3 hours was....

Sleepy.... Yes, i was tired from the previous wedding. There was a long speech about how two people met and then fell in love and bla bla bla.. Everybody knows that.

In the car, they slept because...

of flooding... Beribi road was closed by the police so we had to divert to another route, Telanai. Again the road was closed. Sigh. We had no choice but to use the Highway. Jerudong was also flooded, so traffic jam and then Tanjung Bunut also, very banjir, the road was impossible for cars to pass through. So we had to wait for another half an hour for the police to control the traffic and the bomba tu pump out the water. A journey of 30 minutes had become a two hour journey. Sigh. Of course, we didn't park our car in the garrage but we parked it way outside near the main road and we had to walk to the house with our bare feet.

'Mun gagas, agatah terabang!!'.

Itulah 'signboard' yang d lakatkan di cermin belakang kereta. Nah, siapa pulang yang terabang? This happened the day after the school was flooded, then sudah reopen, kana langgar tia. Delo~
From what I heard, the driver was sms-ing, then someone honked at him. So, the indonesian driver hit the pedal instead of the brake and made himself the first driver to hit on the worst/careless driver of 2009 list. Alhamdullilah, my brother went home at 9.00AM. The accident happened at 10.40AM 5 minutes before all the primary 4, 5 and 6 students take off.

Aftermath; Flooding

From clock-wise; A hotel in Bandar was using candles, back to old times. Two cars were submerged by water. A very popular cheap and pirated DVD outlet in Gadong was also flooded. Due to power failure, Gadong became a ghost town for a few days.
